Always drawing and painting for as long as I can
remember, going to art School was a bit of a dream.
After a mostly enjoyable, eventful career in nursing, the dream did happen ,
my treat in life, I called it. I was accepted on a Foundation Course at
Hornsey, then onto Farnham WSCAD to a Degree course in Textiles, which were
great years, working as a nurse in holidays and at weekends to finance
myself. During the course I became a wife and a mother, very busy years.
Spent 10 years in Hong Kong. There I did Art work for the Samaritans, which
was more graphic and another direction for me.
I have always loved the textile side of my education and never entirely
stopped painting, drawing, looking.
Today I am enjoying experimenting with different media on varying surfaces.
It feels like another journey, full of suprises. |
