I have been lucky enough to live all my life in Grassington in the heart of the Yorkshire Dales and I am inspired by both my local surroundings and my travels whilst on holiday.

 I have always been interested in art, although I have had no formal training I feel privileged to have been guided by local artists Alec Pearson and David Cook while attending their informal art groups.  I have also drawn upon the experience and ideas of my friends in the groups.

 Driven by a passion to paint colour my paintings can be of any subject that attracts me, but are frequently flowers, buildings, windows and views of the chaotic scenes all around me!  I like my work to give the suggestion of the excitement I felt when the subject first inspired me.
